As Alchemy’s ring leader, I take pride in growing our team’s skills and providing cutting-edge solutions to our client’s communications and marketing goals. Alchemy welcomes opportunities to work with talented communications, IT and design interns. We take our role in training and developing our future workforce seriously.

Alchemy has welcomed the opportunity to participate in Canada’s Maple 2.0: a mentorship program for recent immigrants to Canada.

Maple has provided Alchemy Communications with highly trained professionals who need an internship opportunity in Canada to gain work experience and references, as well as build their network. International interns bring a fresh perspective, enthusiasm, dedication and new ideas to our office. Our interns have provided us expert knowledge and skills in the areas of:
• IT
• Web design
• Graphic design
• Copy writing
• Social media
• Research

In return, we provide our interns with support and encouragement in a supervised environment to use and build their skills including:
• Canadian office culture and work norms
• Technology protocols and standards
• Challenging work on international PR and communications projects
• An understanding of client relationships
• Improved use of verbal and written English skills
• Professional references and referrals

Building a career in a new country is not easy, and at Alchemy we’re excited and proud to welcome newcomers to Canada and provide an opportunity to launch their careers. We highly recommend other small businesses and nonprofits consider Maple 2.0 as a mutually beneficial exchange between Canadian business and immigrants.
