Eligibility Criteria

To participate in MAPLE 2.0 Syrian Refugees Services you must have:

  • Permanent Resident or Convention Refugee status*

* Canadian Citizens are not eligible to participate in this program.

How do we help?

  • Individual job readiness assessment.

  • Situational work-specific language training.

  • One-on-one employment support.

  • Site visits to local businesses (workplace tours).

  • Resume writing and job interview coaching.

  • Internship or apprenticeship placements.

  • Employment, self-employment opportunities and alternative career options.


  • Have a job and become financially independent.

  • Gain knowledge of the Canadian work environment through internship or apprenticeship.

  • Receive useful and accurate job-related information.

  • Learn the essential vocabulary to function at the industry you have chosen.

  • Expand your network of contacts in Ottawa or Vancouver.

  • Be equipped with the skills to find and apply for jobs in the future.
